A message from the Board Chairperson Jonathan Brooks.

As we come to the end of Term 3, I know many students and staff will be looking forward to the term break. This year has been challenging for all of us, and the two weeks will be important for your mental well being to be able to recharge and refresh.

The Board of Trustees has gone through the annual election process to elect the Student Trustee, and I am pleased to welcome Ellee Wills to the board for the next 12 months. It is important to have student voice in Board meetings to provide a different perspective on the decisions that are made.

I would also like to thank Esther Olivier for her contribution to the Board during her term as Student Trustee. I know it must be intimidating attending the first board meeting, sitting around a table with many people you haven’t met before in quite a formal setting, but Esther has always been comfortable contributing to the discussion and debate. I wish her all the best for her future and if that future includes governance roles then I know she will do well in those as well.
