The first day of school for our year 9 students ended with our traditional paper dress competition. Ākonga had an hour, some sellotape and a pile of newspaper to breathe life into their design ideas. The criteria for judging included quality construction, originality and use of materials. In the end, it was Batten pou and in particular Ms Getty's ako class BGTR who came out on top.
