The Year 13 business course requires the students to form companies and run a business throughout the year. One business is StartWell, making wellness shots (small juice and veggie drinks).  The other is ReFlow which is designing a filter to clear micro-plastics out of clothes washing waste water, preventing it going into the ocean.

ReFlow:

ReFlow is a company whose aim is to reduce the amount if micro-plastics and microfibres going into the waterways from each load of washing. Unlike regular built-in washing machine filters which filter the lint, we have designed, developed and created a universal washing machine filter which captures the micro-plastics from your clothes to stop them from being released into our water.

Our final product is still in development and we expect to begin sales in the following month.

We are StartWell, a group of six Year 13 students taking business studies at Avonside Girls' High School. We have created a series of health shots designed to promote a healthy lifestyle. StartWell shots are made of a blend of fruit and vegetables that contain many nutritional benefits for your health and wellbeing. We have a range of three different shots that cater to each health benefit; antioxidant, energy and fibre. Our vision at StartWell is to provide the correct nutrients through health shots that provide easy to read and in-depth educational labels that ensure a healthy wellbeing. We are an environmentally friendly group that use recyclable glass bottles and only use natural ingredients with no chemical preservatives.
