Te wiki o te Reo Māori was celebrated this year from 13-17 September. On Monday, we began the week with our Term 3 Whānau Hui. This was held online this term due to Covid 19 Alert Level 3 restrictions. As part of this hui, we heard from Whaea Chante about the mentoring mahi she does with our students. We also heard from one of our whānau Kelly Tikao about an exciting initiative aimed at supporting our Komiti Māori and from Hotumanawa Williams about Kapahaka.

For Te Wiki o te Reo Māori, our Komiti Māori organised a display in Reception and a range of activities for Ako. Members from Komiti Māori also came to Staff Briefing and taught Kaiako a new karakia. Kia kaha te reo Māori!
