Whānau Hui 2021

AGHS —

On Wednesday 10 February, we held our first Whānau Hui for 2021. Students from Komiti Māori helped Whaea Mary-Ann and Whaea Heeni with the kai and welcomed whānau from 5pm. Our Mana Kōtiro Tatiana Cooper and Mana Kōtiro Tuarua Karisma Symons opened the Hui with karakia and mihi. They introduced Mrs Hume who spoke notably around the naming of our Cultural Space ‘Te Paeroa’, and who welcomed the whānau also. Our Rōopu Whānau members were also on hand to meet some of our new whānau especially. The Rōopu Whānau have been busy preparing a Facebook group for members and this group has grown since our Hui. It was a great opportunity for whanaungatanga and we look forward to meeting again in Term 2.
