Service Please!

During term 2, our year 12 Hospitality students have been learning about front of house service and have been practising setting tables, carrying plates, and making and serving hot and cold drinks. In the final two weeks of term 2, and the first few weeks of term 3, the students transformed the school cafe area into a restaurant and served breakfast to students and staff.

Half of the students were required to prepare the restaurant area by setting tables, introducing themselves to their customers, taking food and drink orders, and then providing service to the table. The remaining students were working hard preparing and cooking to order in the kitchen. These assessments have given the HOS222 students a real insight into the hospitality industry.
