A huge congratulations to boccia player and AGHS student, Alisha Mill, who was presented with the Canterbury Sports Foundation “Bernie Walker Award” at their recent AGM.

The Bernie Walker Award is presented annually to a Canterbury based junior athlete (19yrs & under) who has achieved to a high standard of performance in their chosen sport. As part of this award, Alisha also receives a funding grant to support her development as a boccia player.

This award was first presented in 2006 and this is the very first time a Para athlete has received this award!
