In 2019 I was advised that I had been awarded a principal’s sabbatical for term 2, 2020. Sabbatical leave enables a principal to have a term away from school, and to use the time to engage in a project of relevance to the principal role, and also time for refreshment.

However the rapid onset of Covid and the lockdown meant that sabbaticals for 2020 were put on hold and deferred until this year, and so I shall be on sabbatical leave next term.

In my absence for term 2, there are some staffing changes:

· Mrs Clegg will be Acting Principal

· Ms Smith will be Acting Deputy Principal

· Ms de Pass will be Acting HOLA HPE

On my return to school for the second half of the year, we will all return to our normal roles.

I thank those staff stepping up to other duties for being willing to do so, and pass on my best wishes to everyone for a great term 2.
