Congratulations to Katrina and her Robotics team who won the robotics scrimmage last weekend. Congratulations to our second XI hockey team and Karen Hoare - the team won the 5th Division Canterbury Hockey. 

News Updates:

August 24th and 25th - Yokohama School visit Avonside. Thank you to the teachers supporting the students from our Japanese sister school. 

Sept 12th - Jan Tinetti is visiting Avonside Girls' High School, SBHS and Ferndale. More on this to come. 

Principal's Toilet community service runs every Friday 2.30pm -3pm. Thank you to all staff for supporting the focus on keeping our toilets safe and clean. Please keep this focus next week. Kia Manaaki. We are seeing a marked difference. 

Year 13 Privileges - From Week 7 Year 13 will be trialing two privileges. 1) to be able to go offsite by foot at morning tea and lunch. 2) to wear non-uniform on a Friday. They are to choose uniform or non uniform not a mixture and no crocs or sliders. We will send out their uniform code next week but the message is - wear as you would to work in a formal setting.

Covid Restrictions - these have been lifted and staff/students are no longer required to be away for the 5 days. There is also no disregarded sick leave from Tuesday 15th August. However, if you are unwell please stay home and get better. If you are concerned the best protection is a mask.
