The Ōtakaro Kahui Ako, of which Avonside Girls’ High School is a part, launched the Pacific Education Action Plan on Tuesday 11 May. This event was held in our large theatre with invited guests and was an enjoyable evening of performance, food and discussion. The Ministry of Education representatives outlined the ten-year plan and the five key actions needed for Pasifika success in education. We also heard from Nasi Manu, guest speaker, on his journey in education and sport, and the importance of family.
