Talanoa Ako app:

The Ministry’s Parent Information and Community Intelligence (PICI) team launched the Talanoa Ako app which is designed to help Pasifika families feel more confident about the education system regardless of what year level their children are in at school. The app is loaded with 10 Pacific languages and available on both the Apple app store and Google play, just search Talanoa Ako. UCMEXL:

Power on with UCMEXL Extended – would your daughter benefit from some afterschool academic tutorial support? Every Monday from 3 August to 21 September the UCMEXL programme will be offering free academic tutorial for Pacific students studying NCEA levels 1-3 in a range of subjects. This initiative has just started and is hosted at Orua Paeroa (flyer attached for more info and images). 

POPO Foundation scholarship:

The POPO Foundation scholarship programme is for Pacific students studying Health Sciences at Foundation Year.  See the flyer below for more information.
