2020 Road Race Championships

2020 Road Race Championships will be held on Tuesday 8 September at Canterbury A & P Show Grounds to enter contact spaton@avonside.school.nz

2020 Secondary Schools Duathlon

Given the current climate and that students have been forced out of school for so long we have decided not to hold the Secondary Schools Duathlon as a stand-alone event on a school day. Instead the championships will be held within the first race of the JD Duathlon Series at Ruapuna on Sunday 26th July. The race will still have a completely separate start time, be draft legal on the bike and cover the same distances with hopefully a bigger crowd from the athletes that raced earlier. The only downside is not having a day off school :-( We will only have the individual race this year, there will be no teams sorry. Males and females will all start together which should make for some better packs forming on the bike leg. Contact the sports office if interested: spaton@avonside.school.nz
