Kura ki Pukihi Celebration

AGHS —

Students and their whanau were invited to the Christchurch City Council to talk about their designs.

Our students who participated in the inventionator sprints, creating digital solutions for real world problems, were invited to the Christchurch City Council on Wednesday 11 May. Here they were welcomed by Councillor Anna Galloway who chairs Te Pae Pīkari, the Youth Advisory committee. Our students delivered their fantastic pitches once again, this time to a room full of adults including whanau members who could see what they had created.

The photo above shows Milly Carson, Fiona Ariyarudeekul, Claudia Wilson, Libby Greaves and Martina can Zijl checking out the Council Chambers and the Mayors chair!

Below shows Fiona and Milly delivering WI Tech - women in tech - a solution to address the lack of women working in technology and how to get young women at school interested.
