Ōtākaro Kāhui Ako

AGHS —

The Ōtākaro Kāhui Ako has been privileged to launch two online Showcases so far this year, all of which contain performances and material from students at Avonside Girls’ and other kura from our Kāhui Ako. The third and final Showcase will be launched on Friday 4th December. This showcase will contain a wide variety of student visual art and wearable art, a range of dances and short performance pieces and a selection of literacy achievements including speeches, and creative writing. These Ōtākaro Showcases have been compiled to celebrate the wide range of skills and talents of ākonga across the Kāhui Ako. While initially a Kāhui Ako festival had been planned, the impact of Covid meant we had to be creative in our thinking. I would like to thank the team of dedicated students from Avonside and Shirley who have worked really hard to edit and compile the Showcases over the last few months. Their time and contribution has been greatly appreciated. The online showcases are a permanent testament to our ākonga and are available to share widely with whānau and friends around the country.
