The City Mission asked if we would be interested in creating Christmas Bags for the children who will be guests at their Christmas Day Lunch. The Mission will fill the bags with gifts that have been donated. We encourage our students to get involved in helping the community, so it was decided to use this opportunity and set this up as an Ako time activity. 

The Mission gave us 70 pillow cases that had been donated but couldn’t use because they are too big for their pillows, but will they make perfect Christmas Bags. The project is still underway but we are so impressed at the classes creativity so far. The small selection of photos show the amazing Christmas themes classes have created. These Christmas Bags will make some children smile on Christmas Day.
