MATHEMATICS FOR LIVING - MFL111

This course will focus on the Numeracy Unit Standards. Numeracy is the bridge between mathematics and daily life. It includes the knowledge and skills needed to apply mathematics to everyday family and financial matters, work and community tasks, social and leisure activities.

Topics covered include number, measurement and statistics. An individualized programme of work and assessment is possible and can be negotiated with the teacher throughout the year. This course prepares students for MAS111.

Entry Requirements: Students to seek advice from their current Mathematics teacher

Credits: Around 15 credits at Level 1 (which include 10 credits Level 1 numeracy unit standards)
