Embedding the pedagogy framework and Avonside Way into your classroom practice
As we head back into classes, it's useful to remember the support provided by the pedagogy framework. The explainer doc, with links, is attached below, and more will come out through the pānui over the course of the term. There are posters of the pedagogy framework available for workspaces from me.
Lots of our work over the next few weeks will be about growing relationships and setting up the whānau-like environments for learning. A key part of this is ensuring our ākonga sense of security and familiarity with the rhythms of our classrooms using the Avonside Way.
A reminder that students should wait to be welcomed in, and to be released at the end, and that seating plans and do nows are an important part of settling our classrooms.
