Over the weekend of October 26th-28th Balmacewen entered two teams in the South island Waterpolo Tournament which was held at Moana Pool.

The tournament provided the opportunity for our teams to compete at a high level against teams from Southland and Christchurch.  Some of the teams entered were combined school representative teams also. Over the weekend both of our teams showed huge improvement  against some very tough competition who play all year round. 

The Gold team had very close games just narrowly missing out making the playoff for top four. 

The Silver team ended up having to play in the B grade and found the opposition very tough but the determination and the effort they made in every game was outstanding. Their skill level has improved so much and now this will pay off in our regular Thursday competition. 

Thank you to the parents and supporters over the weekend. 

A final highlight was the inclusion of Honour from the Gold team who was named in the Tournament team of the top five players.
