On Tuesday, 19th September, the Balmacewen Choir and Orchestra went to Summerset for a morning concert, performing 5 items each.

 This was the first outing to Summerset since COVID so it was a wonderful celebration with our neighbours.

In “Cool Blues” one of the Summerset residents, Eddy, joined the Orchestra, playing tenor saxophone. Torin and Caeli also featured in the orchestra playing an improvisation and solo respectively. In the choir item, “You’ve got a Friend”, Hana sung a solo part. It was lovely to have Gina join us and accompany us on the piano.

We were given a very warm reception by the Summerset residents, and we had a fantastic time.
