WOW - the only word we can use to describe the Wearable Arts Show!

Lisa Dixon —

On Wednesday night the OBHS auditorium came to life as we presented this year's performance of the Wearable Arts show. Over 150 students brought their designs to life on the stage with support from musical interludes, talented dancers and entertainment from the boys crew.

Hosted by Max the show was a highlight of the year.  The talent, creativity and imagination of our students was outstanding, The quality of the designs, the music, the script writing and stage performance was a credit to all the students who committed to take part and displayed our Balmac Values of perseverance and excellence. This show gives our students a chance to be creative, innovative, challenge themselves, problem solve and most important - commit to something and see it through. This is a great example of project based learning and a chance for students to challenge themselves and be out of their comfort zone.

Well done to everyone and also to parents, caregivers and extended family who have supported them along the way. It has been a very busy week and a half to bring this show together. We continue to be amazed at the talented students that we have who make the most of the opportunities to be involved in extracurricular activities that are on offer at Balmacewen.

Thank you also to all staff involved who contributed to the running and success of the night.
