The Arts Expo - Term Three

Lisa Dixon —

Next term we will be having a celebration of the Arts performance in Week 10, September 25th at Otago Boys High School. This will include our WEARABLE Arts show and talent quest winners, plus other arts performances to link it all together. Below is a copy of the information shared with student who would like to take part in the Wearable Arts section of this performance night.

 Wearable Arts 2019

Yes it is that time again – Wearable ARTS 2019! This year’s competition and show will be held in Term Three Week 10 at Otago Boys High School. We only have the Wearable Arts show every second year so this is your only chance to be involved. Our last `show was a sell out and a huge success and we hope to continue the great work, inspiration, ideas and creativity that have been on show over the last few years.

What do you have to do?

Now that you have committed to take part, you must complete your design and be ready for the show by that time. You have over the holidays and until Week 10   to create and make. Be creative, think outside the square. Research on the Internet, explore the WOW website for inspiration! Your first task is to check and discuss this with your parents. Complete the initial entry Google Form that has been sent out by the end of  next week. In Term Three we will have a number of follow up meetings to continue the planning of the show. You can work on your own, with a partner or small group. Make sure that once you commit you follow through on your plan! Start thinking and planning now and don’t leave it all to the last minute. I look forward to some new and creative ideas!!

Suggested categories at this stage are….

Glow in the Dark     Recycled Kiwiana  Fantasy  Animals Attic.....

Have fun - good luck! Get planning:)
