Term 3 Hospital Rebuild Project

Jake Scott —

Students had the opportunity to tackle a real world project that had a personal connection to their community. The Hospital rebuild project promoted ideas of wellness that extend to school life. We included a range of specialists within the process.

To celebrate the end of our term 3 Hospital Rebuild Project, the Hills Cluster came together to exhibit at the Community Gallery. This was an exciting and anticipated reveal, where many of the local community, including the Dunedin Hospital Rebuild Group attended.

It was a great opportunity for all Hills Cluster Schools to come together and share their wide variety of innovative ideas.

The feedback from the Dunedin Hospital Rebuild Group has been excellent. They have been inspired by the student's work and have requested follow-up meetings to discuss some of their ideas.

A big thank you to Otago Community Trust who have helped fund and develop teachers and students in PBL for the last three years. Also a big thanks to Phillipa Dick for facilitating between the cluster schools and sharing her passion and knowledge for innovation.

Please check out the photos below of some of the exhibitions on display.
