Balmacewen Intermediate has 9 teams entered in the Dunedin Netball Centre Year 7 & 8 competition which is played on Thursday afternoons.

The focus over the first round has been to get to know teammates, develop individual skills, grow game awareness and also to have fun! There have been mixed results for our Balmacewen teams. Round 2 brings a chance to go against teams again and to show how our improvements and hopefully for a few more wins..

We are very grateful to the coaches and managers who turn up to trainings and games every week and willingly give their time.

Each week we have 8 Balmacewen students who umpire. Ms Brady and Mrs Wylie mentor the girls to learn the rules and also the game management skills in order for them to officiate games. These students do a fantastic job and hopefully will continue to officiate once they leave Balmacewen. Thank you girls!!.
