Design, Create and Make!!
A huge focus this year in our syndicate is to create opportunities to create and make - giving our students the opportunity to be faced with a challenge or question and design, prototype and test solutions.
Our first challenge was to design a cardboard marble run that could last a minute! Sounds easy? Well after three session of planning, researching and designing the Honey Badgers syndicate tested their ideas. The winning run was 22 seconds! It was a fantastic display of problem solving, perseverance and collaboration. The students were so engaged in the challenge- talking through ideas, changing and testing their designs. It was so great watching them work together to take on this challenge. Well done to Jack, Riley, Eli and Owen for their winning design - only just taking out the win. Check out some of our designs....
