We have had a great start to the new school year with many events and opportunities to enjoy. 

It has been an action packed 4 weeks to start off the school year.

It has been a busy time in Year 7 as Balmac's newest pupils settle into life at Balmacewen Intermediate School.

It is a busy term for Year 7 students in the fabrics room.  There is a lot of new learning being done and after nearly 5 weeks, they all will have a lovely striped or patched cushion.

The first group of Year 7's in Food Technology have made a great start.

The Year 8's have started the year well in the Foods Room. 

Year 8 students have been busy getting familiar with their sewing machines again and are finishing off their first project.

The Year 8 Students welcome New Staff and Year 7 Students into Balmacewen with a stirring Mihi Whakatau.

Please ensure ALL of your child's uniform is named. We have a number of pupils who have misplaced their uniform, but if it is not named it is almost impossible to return it to the rightful owner.

Term one sport and music payments are now overdue. Sport and music need to be paid in advance and cannot be paid off as part of the school account.

A notice went home to all Year 8 students this week regarding vaccination in schools for all Year 8 pupils.

Last week Room 7 had an exciting trip to the Aquarium to ignite our animal adaptations unit on Survivor - looking at structures and features at the Rocky Sea shore.

Our very own Balmac Sharks took on the Balmac 49ers in a very keenly contested game of Rippa. 

Last week our school choir and music lessons began at Balmacewen.

The touch season has begun at the Oval Junior Module at the Kensington Oval, and Balmacewen has 9 teams entered.
