WOW - Last night our Wearable Arts Show was held at Otago Boys High School - it was an amazing night of colour, creativity and innovation.

There's so much happening at Balmacewen. It's an exciting time of year with plenty of events to keep us focussed and engaged.

Another busy and exciting term is under way and this term it's all about dance and drama! 

It is amazing to think that there are just five weeks left for your child at Balmacewen Intermediate.

With only four and half tech teaching weeks to go, the Art Room continues to be a busy and exciting place for students.

Final student accounts have been sent out for the year. There are significant amounts outstanding, please pay as soon as possible.

Balmacewen had two teams competing in the South Island Intermediate Schools Water Polo tournament at Moana Pool this past weekend.

All Year 7 classes were lucky enough to have a dance educator from the Royal New Zealand Ballet take them through a 90 minute workshop based around A Mid Summer Nights Dream.  Read Willow's review below:

Lucy Hayward and Florence Marshall enjoyed superb success placing second at the recent New Zealand Gymsport Championships. 

Our students and teachers enjoyed 23 degrees and sunshine for our annual athletics day last Friday 16th October.

The beach is the New Zealander’s favourite playground. Come and spend a week in the surf at Warrington Beach. Experienced instructors will help you gain skills and fitness in surf swimming and using boards in the waves.

The School Council is trialing a lunch order system this term. We are offering a healthy lunch option through our local Subway outlet.
