Our Fabulous Cake Creations

The G&T class have been busy working on cake decorating over the past 5 weeks...

The 20 students who gained a Food Technology Badge in Year 7 were invited to join the G&T group this year.  We have been working on different types of toppings for cakes as well as several different cake recipes.

We looked at buttercream with fancy piping nozzles on cupcakes, fondant roses on a dairy/egg-free cake, fondant animal toppers with a designed background on a medium cake, and the mirror glaze on a sponge-roll.  They all were focused, and artistic  and some amazing attention to detail was displayed.
