Y8 students have been working on completing all projects, finishing with screenprinting.

Room 9 has continued to develop their coding skills.

Liam and Hugo competed in the Fencing South Age Group mixed foil competition in the weekend. 

No doubt you will have heard about the ‘Science Fair.’ It is a school wide event that has been happening at Balmacewen Intermediate for a number of years now. It is a successful event and our students are often award winners at the Otago Science & Technology Fair.  The upcoming holiday is a good time to start brainstorming and experimenting with ideas for your Science and Technology Fair Project

Our school choir has been invited to sing at Queens Gardens on Anzac Day

The year 7's have finished off their unit by making stir-fry, crumble, sushi and cookies.

The end of the term has come quick and the Year 8's had a mystery box competition

9 teams competed at the Oval Junior Competition for Balmacewen this term.

On Saturday 9th April Balmacewen had 26 swimmers compete in the Otago Champs at Moana Pool.

This term we have been lucky enough to have Miss Yu come join Room 11 every Monday to take us for Mandarin lessons.

Room 8 has been busy working on the art of report writing throughout the term. We have written a range of different reports on various animals from around the world. Mridula produced a fantastic piece on the infamous Skunk! Enjoy.  

After watching a series of short clips from the perspective of a GoPro camera, students were asked to recount the experience as if it was themselves. By Bill, Taylor and Blake.

The inaugural Otago Triathlon was held in Cromwell on Thursday 31st March.

For Young Artists children 6-13, who love to paint, draw and sculpt.

There are robotics and coding courses being held in the Computer Science Department these holidays for years 7 - 13 students.
