It's the end of Term 2. Well done to everyone for making it through a very unique time!

Thank you to all families and friends of our Year 8 Community for your support this term.

Mid term reports will be sent home in the first week of next term and our parent/teacher interviews will be the following week. Please read on for details on how to book your interview.

As the end of the term is upon us, we take a look ahead to what is an exciting term plan for Term 3!

To celebrate the end of term that coincides with Matariki the Year 7 students and teachers had a hangi shared lunch.

This week students have completed their Hooked on Science PBL - the first completed project for the year. Our videos are currently being sorted and uploaded to our school Youtube account and some will be selected to be added to the Museum Fun Science video channel also.

Our Fabrics room is the place be according to the Year 7 classes who have just completed their first project - the CUSHION!

Our Year 8 students have had the opportunity to develop a standard bag template to suit their needs. The have created lunch bags, toilet bags, larger swimming/sports bags. Some even made pot plant baggies.

Over the last few weeks the Year 7 students and staff had the opportunity to go to the Observatory for a session with Amadeo....

After emerging from lockdown and our online learning Year 8 decided on a theme of 'Ka mua, ka muri; looking back in order to move forward.'

The third group of year 7's have just finished their time in foods room.

Another talented group of Year Sevens have been learning painting techniques, developing ideas, and drawing skills.

On Wednesday 15th July Otago Rugby League are holding a 1-day Holiday Programme.

Did you know ...?

The students' postcards were inspired by the exhibition Postcards from the Other Side at Gallery De Novo, which featured postcards by local artists. In particular, these postcards were inspired by local artist and educator Kerry Mackay.

The second rotation of Year 8's in the foods room have just finished making their designer pies.
