It's great to be back at school!

While this term has been challenging with our Lockdown over the last few weeks, it is great to be back in school completing Term 3. Teachers welcomed back the face to face learning and interactions in our classrooms, and students were happy and excited to reconnect with their friends and classmates.

All winter sports uniforms need to be returned to school. There is a box in the office area where they should be placed. If uniforms are not returned by Monday 20th September then the cost of the uniform will be added to your school account.

The hockey season is finished for another year. Thank you to all players, coaches, managers, parents, caregivers and families for their support.

Unfortunately the recent lockdown has meant the Dunedin Netball Competition for Year 7 & 8 teams finished 3 weeks early....

Unit 2 in the Year 7 food technology programme involves changing up the flavours and textures.

2 Groups of Year 8 syndicates have made their pies.

Take a look at some of the fabulous pieces of writing our writing extension have created.

Our Year 7 learners have added hand sewing to their Fabrics toolkit. They designed and created a unique Softie using polar-fleece. Students were challenged to make their own paper templates and to explore a variety of hand sewing techniques.

Another activity at home or on return to school was to write an acrostic poem for LOCKDOWN.. here are some samples...

Over this term Year 7 students have been working on Poetry. Here is some samples of work from the Year 7 students.

Our Year 8 classes are well into their first project. There are aprons being sewn, screen print designs getting cut and designer Softies are under construction too.
