Kia Ora whanau of Tuakana Rima, not long to go now. Our year sevens will be leaders of our school and our year eights will leave the BSDA gates. Throughout the term, we have reflected on our learning throughout the year and we continue to grow our love for our BSDA family.

Bible  

Throughout the term we have focused on the unit of The Sanctuary. Our children have learnt The Sanctuary teaches that God wants to be in the centre of our lives. He is a God of grace Who forgives our sin and removes it forever, and He wants us to make space for Him in our lives so He can make us holy. We are learning That Sanctuary service was an object lesson to teach us about God. We look forward to next week as it is our Week of Worship. 

Literacy - Speeches

This term we are concentrating on our speeches. Our students will be delivering their speeches in Week 6. So many of them are tracking along and are preparing their topics and putting their editing skills to the test as well. 

Maths 

For Maths this term, Tuakana Rima have been reviewing and strengthening their number knowledge. This is something that our students need to learn before they go. Many of them are going well with their progress in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division strategies. 

Social Studies and Health & Well-Being 

Our Kia Kaha unit is going really well this term. This term we are looking at Bullying and how we can respect others and how we can look after our well being. This is so important for our tamariki to learn as Tuakanas and leaders of BSDA. During this unit we have ruled out what a bully is and the different types of bullying there are. 

Science 

We are very blessed to have our expert Scientist in BSDA teach Tuakana Rima. This is them exploring the digestive system and having fun in Science! Thank you Mrs Ryu!
