Cultivating love...

Mrs Jordana Ryu —

Autumn is swiftly passing us by and Room 4 students are enjoying the harvest of Project Eden! What an experience it has been to cultivate vegetables and enjoy our delicious labour of love! Speaking of cultivation...Room 4 students have been in active pursuit of physical, mental, social and spiritual growth. Here are a few photos to mark our holistic learning experiences so far!

With our green bean season over, we are now enjoying the harvest of carrots and lettuce! What a yummy and healthy salad these vegetables make!

Healthy physical and social growth happens when we cultivate Manaakitanga (extend love and compassion to others).  We learned that God's original plan was for His creation to live in "symbiotic relationships" with each other.  Room 4 students know that when we are respectful, responsible, have integrity, and work towards excellence with a Growth Mindset, we can avoid conflict and live the way God wants us to live.

The principles of Whanaungatanga (a sense of belonging) is alive and well in Room 4!  Each person is a valuable member of the class and brings a wealth of knowledge to everyone's lives.  Here our pepeha posters represent who we are and where we came from.  We look forward to introducing ourselves in Te Reo Māori at the upcoming Senior Conferences!
