Reflection of Term 3

Ms Mariana Lote —

Can you believe we're going into the last week of term 3?! This term has gone too fast, let alone, this year!

We have discovered and learnt about the importance of being a life-long learner in Rm5 while upholding the theme of Creativity and Imagination in our learning this term.

Bible

Over the past few weeks, we have looked at the story of Joseph. Joseph was someone who faced many trials in his life but God showed faithfulness in Joseph. Here are some of the works of our students of their own understanding of Joseph.

For this activity they had to select a picture or symbol from the internet that symbolised the event listed. It's great to see Rm5s own view of the story of Joseph, making connections is something that I want Rm5 to understand and comprehend as they'll have a deeper connection in the story. This not only helps with Bible but also in their writing and reading.

Literacy - Writing

We have focussed and concentrated immensely on description writing and I am pleased to say that Rm5 has improved BIG time with their descriptive writing! Some of our students will be sharing their writing pieces and poems that they've created for community church this weekend, so please come and worship with us at Royal Oak SDA Church. Here are some examples that our kids have created.

Science

Science has been wonderful this term. From the egg drop challenge to simple machines to focussing on our their own research experiments which they'll be individually by working on throughout the rest of the term as well as next term.

Here are some examples of Rm5s simple machines:
