Message from Tumuaki (Principal) - Mrs Brown
Welcome to our 2nd school pānui (newsletter) for Term 1! As we are four weeks into term 1, we are thrilled to welcome more new students to our school community. Special welcome to Harrison, Genesis, Neriah-Jayne & Nathan. We welcome you and your whānau (families) to our BSDA school community.
Supporting your child's learning at home is crucial for their academic growth. Here are 2-3 tips to best support your tamariki (children):
Establish a routine: Create a structured routine that includes dedicated time for homework, reading, and relaxation. Consistency helps tamariki feel more organised and prepared for learning.
Encourage a growth mindset: Praise your tamariki for effort, resilience, and progress. Encourage them to view challenges as opportunities for growth.
Stay involved: Regularly communicate with Kaiako (teachers), attend school events, and involve yourself in your tamariki learning journey. Your involvement shows that you value education and support their success.
By following these tips, you can create a supportive learning environment for your tamariki both at school and at home. Thank you for your continued partnership in their education.
Re-cap over the first couple of weeks at school.
