2024 International Mt Cook & Tekapo Trip🚌

International Department —

We had a lot of fun on our trip to Mt Cook and Tekapo.

We were excited to leave Bayfield and after 3 hours in the vans arrived at Glentanner Park and settled into our cabins.

On Friday morning we awoke to a beautiful clear day with an amazing view of Mt Cook. We drove to Mt Cook village and had a look around before walking to our cruise around the Tasman Glacial lake in a boat and experience the enormity of New Zealand's largest glacier as we weaved in and out of floating icebergs. It was surreal and mesmering experience in a totally unique environment.

Tours are designed to both thrill and educate as you learn about the ever changing glacial landscape. Icebergs of every shape and size periodically tear away from the face of the glacier into the rapidly growing lake.

On Saturday 4 May the students will depart Mt Cook and go by van to stay a night in Tekapo at the Lakes Edge Holiday Park. In the evening the students will be driven to the Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve for Stargazing
