The Student Volunteer Army (SVA)
Service, one of our school values, is an important aspect of our character development here at our school. It teaches us empathy, selflessness, and the importance of giving back to our community.
The SVA Service Award is a platform where volunteers can record and reflect on their volunteering hours. Volunteers work towards physical badges – Member, Bronze, Silver and Gold – to acknowledge the work they do in their community, whether it be for their school, whānau or neighbourhood.
Yesterday at Anderson House assembly, we gave our first student volunteering badge for the year. Well done to Brianna Higgan who has gained her silver badge for 250 hours of voluntary service.
