Year 10 Adventure Camp is One Term Away!

Bayfield High School —

In Week 7 of Term 4, all Year 10 students who have chosen to participate in the annual Adventure Camp at Tautuku Outdoor Education Centre will be whisked away for five days and four nights.

Students will leave school first thing on Monday morning and will return (usually exhausted) on Friday around 2 pm. All food and activities are included in the cost. Activities, you ask? Try abseiling, kayaking, tramping, camping, row boating (powered by song), mud running, mud walking, confidence courses, high ropes (TBC), and new to 2024, potentially, air rifles and archery! So much good stuff!!

Please remember, our Year 10 camp is not compulsory. This means students can only be encouraged to opt into the camp, and a full payment of $410 will be required prior to camp. To help spread the cost, we suggest a $200 deposit by the end of Term Three to secure a place, with the remainder being paid by the start of Week Six in Term Four.

If you are a parent interested in attending camp, whether for a day or the week, we require a police vetting to be completed and approved before departure. More information about this will be provided early next term after a Year 10 Assembly.

You are welcome to contact me, Oliver Surline, Junior Outdoor Education Coordinator, if you have further questions at osurline@bayfield-high.school.nz.
