Orientation
At the beginning of the year Bayfield has an orientation programme for new students. There will also be orientation programmes offered at the start of each term which will allow for an introduction of life at Bayfield High School and New Zealand.
The Director of International and Deans work out subject choices and timetables, and assists with IT compatibility, explains insurance entitlements, helps with the purchasing or hire of school uniforms, opening a bank account, buying a cell phone with SIM card, and becoming familiar with the city and its facilities through a tour.
Each student is given the a dedicated International department cell phone number and help is available 24/7.
