St Patrick's Day Celebrated in the LMS

This afternoon Rooms 8, 9, 11, 12 and 13 had a fun afternoon doing some activities to commemorate St Patrick's day (which was actually yesterday, but there isn't school on Sundays, which is why we choose today).

At 1pm we met as a whole team and sung the Rattling Bog song. You may want to see along by clicking here.

After the singing and puppet show, some classes did craft activities, others made hats, masks, completed word searches and all students got to ice a special St Patrick biscuit. Special shamrock lollipops and snakes were distributed (not the real kind, the edible variety). St Patrick was said to have removed all snakes from Ireland - this is probably why there are no snakes in Ireland today.

During the morning each class learnt about the history of St Patrick's day. Room 12 students even played a group Kahoot!

It was a great afternoon in the Lower Middle School! Thanks to Mrs Lynskey for organising the whole event.
