Travel Safe in partnership with Intermediate Schools would like to invite 2024 Year 7/8 students to register for Intermediate Bike Safety 2024.

This is a bike safety programme that is designed to encourage and support intermediate students to safely ride their bikes to and from school, building skills and confidence on the road. Students will learn how to safely navigate intersections and identify hazards. The program supports the local bike infrastructure, students' own decision making around route choice, and school’s bike procedures.

We have a refreshed programme to make this more accessible to students. This is achieved by having set outcomes that are specific to the infrastructure around the school and surrounding streets. The session timings will allow students and instructors to have more time to discuss, demonstrate and do the learning outcomes. This will help the students get a better understanding and increased confidence. This approach will also ensure that all students get consistent bike safety instruction, regardless of where they live and their route to school. This programme will now be completed in school hours.
