PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

A week in the life of Bethlehem School...
    by Catherine Neidhardt

Discos, unicorns, magicians and demonstrations of incredible athletic ability have all been a part of the last few weeks at our kura! It has been so great to be able to have whānau join us in celebrating all kind of events with our tamariki. I would like to send a HUGE shout out to all of the parents and whānau who helped at our Athletics Days, Baywave events and Disco. Without your support, these special activities could not take place.

As always, our wonderful staff have been joining in on the fun, while continuing to offer engaging learning experiences for the students.

With the summer season approaching, our Board has once again decided to open up our school pool to our Bethlehem whānau. If you are current Bethlehem School whānau with a child at our kura, you will have the opportunity to hire a pool key for the summer. More information will becoming.

In other exciting news, we are in the process of appointing another Deputy Principal to join our Senior Leadership of myself and Jacqui van der Beek. This is a Board appointment process and we look forward to sharing the news of the successful candidate in the near future. This person will join our kura for the start of 2023.

Last and certainly not least, our Learning Celebrations are on next week with:

Wiremu + Room 17 on Monday at 2:30pm

Reweti + Room 19 on Tuesday at 2:30pm

Carmichael + Room 18 on Thursday at 2:30pm

These afternoons provide parents and whānau with the opportunity to visit all our classes to see what their tamariki have been exploring with their learning.

I look forward to seeing you there.

Ngā mihi nui

Cath
