Stars of the Week

Office (Bishopdale School) —

Congratulations to this week's Stars of the Week, who are:

Oshen-Rayne Wharehinga in Titoki

Oshen likes to learn through play, especially cutting out shapes and building things out of play-doh.  She also likes reading and loves to listen to her teacher reading stories to the whole class.  During breaks she enjoys playing with her friends on the playground equipment, and especially likes the big swing.

Jaxxson Ross in Kawakawa

Jaxxson's favourite subject at school is reading and regularly joins Kowhai class to practise his skills.  He loves to play with his friend Ezra during break times outside, and also likes to play with the cars indoors.  At the moment he is busy working towards achieving 40 CARE cards, when he can then choose another prize from Mrs Mac's prize box.

Jesiah loves sport, especially playing soccer with his friends, and is hoping to be in the school soccer team when he's older. He also likes running and enjoyed taking part in the school's cross country.  Although he likes spending time outside he also enjoys being inside, and really likes choosing time when he gets to have fun playing with some of the school's toys.  At the moment he has 55 CARE cards and is very close to achieving 60 - when he gets a chance to choose another prize from Mrs Mac's prize box.

Dulayn Herath Mudiyanselage in Pohutukawa

Dulayn's favourite way of learning at school is by completing fun activities on the school iPads.  He also really enjoys taking part in Pasifika lessons in the hall on Wednesdays.  Dulayn is now busy working towards achieving 60 CARE cards, when he can choose another prize.

Anahera Pairama in Puriri

Anahera enjoys taking part in sport and is a member of our school netball Red Team.  She also likes being creative and really enjoys having art lessons with Mrs Pepperle.  At home she likes to spend time relaxing playing games on her Playstation.  At the moment Anahera has just over 40 CARE cards and is working towards 60.

Mason Britton in Totara

Mason likes to play sport, his favourite being rugby.  He is a member of the school's soccer team and outside of school plays rugby for Merivale Papanui.   When he is at home he loves to relax playing games on his Playstation.  Mason has over 60 CARE cards and is working towards 80, when he will be able to choose another prize.

Penny Allan - Staff Star of the Week

This week we have an outstanding staff member who has been caught being a Star of the Week, Penny Allan!

We know and cherish all the hard work you do for our tamariki here at Bishopdale School, whether it be a quick hello in the morning or an ice pack at lunch you are a shining star in the office area. As a Board we would like to extend a special thank you for all the amazing work and extra effort you put into getting the lunches organized and sent off to classes for our students and helping our Kura run smoothly every day.
