Stars of the Week
Congratulations to this weeks Stars of the Week, who are:
Mia Taituha-Ropoama in Titoki
Mia started at Bishopdale School just over a month ago and is settling in really well. She loves learning through play, and especially likes to play with the dolls in class, putting them to bed, etc. Mia saw the Elf on the Shelf in the office for the first time today and laughed at how naughty he had been - eating lollies that he had found and leaving the wrappers on the counter! She has already written to Santa and would like a toy horse for Christmas.
Vinz Delos Santos in Kawakawa
Vinz has had a great year at school and has really enjoyed improving his maths this year, and said he has learnt lots. His other favourite things through the year was the school disco, as well as craft week. He thinks being rewarded with CARE cards is a great idea, and being able to choose a prize was really good. Vinz has seen the Elf in the office but isn't too keen on him.
Ali Mohsini in Kowhai
Ali has had a busy year of learning at school and has really improved his maths, as well as his reading and writing, and is looking forward to being in Year 4 next year when he can learn lots more. He likes achieving CARE cards and sometimes likes to share his prize with his little sister, who is 2. During the summer holidays he is hoping to take a few trips to the beach and mountains.
Sonny Taituha-Ropoama in Pohutukawa
Sonny really enjoyed craft week this year and has a beautifully decorated mask on display in the school library. He said what he has enjoyed the most though is perfecting his handwriting skills. He wasn't too keen on the school disco but is hoping we are able to have a water day next week, as this is something he would enjoy a lot more. He has enjoyed achieving CARE cards this year and would love to see some Hotwheels cars in the prize box next year. He is looking forward to finishing school next week when he will be travelling with his family up to Blenheim for Christmas to spend time with his Grandad and family.
Phoenix Atkinson in Puriri
Phoenix thought that Year 6 Camp was the best this year and really enjoyed the mountain biking. He also loves having free time at school, but also likes going home at the end of the day! Phoenix thinks it is a good idea to keep going with the CARE cards next year, and has managed to achieve over 80 this year. Phoenix will be leaving us at the end of this year and will be going to Casebrook Intermediate next year.
Ryak MacDonald in Puriri
Ryak loves earning free time at school, and also likes going home after a hard days work. He also thinks the CARE cards are a good idea. For Christmas he is travelling with his family to Hanmer, where he will be going Kayaking and enjoying other fun activities. He is looking forward to chilling out over the summer holidays watching his favourite YouTubers and is hoping he might be able to take a trip to Australia.
Zahrajaan Afshar Haydari in Totara
Zahrajaan had a great opportunity this year to help out in Titoki Class, and really enjoyed helping the new entrants practise their new writing skills. She really enjoyed taking part in the school athletics, and thought the obstacle course was great fun. Zahrajaan likes achieving CARE cards and thinks it's a great idea to continue with these next year.
