Stars of the Week
This week's Stars of the Week are:
Josiah Wells in Room 4
Josiah is looking forward to the school holidays that are coming up next week. He is very lucky to be going to sunny Nelson to see his family, where he will be able to have fun playing with his cousins. Josiah has achieved 40 CARE Cards so far, and enjoys choosing a prize each time he achieves 20 cards from Mrs Mac's prize box.
Chaz Theunissen in Room 1
Chaz is looking forward to going to the beach during the upcoming school holidays, especially after improving his water skills during his recent swimming lessons. He prides himself in being a fast runner, which will come in handy for next term's athletics day. Today Chaz has been enjoying learning maths by playing a great board game.
Khalea Nauer in Room 8
Khalea likes to play sport and was a member of our fantastic netball team who achieved 2nd Place in their division at this year's Winter Sport. During the school holidays she is flying up to Taranaki to spend time with her Grandad. Khalea also has cousins living near Shirley who she will be going to spend time with.
Georgia Gothard in Room 2
Georgia's little sister Mya started school this week, so she has been busy keeping a big sisterly eye on her. She loves to draw at home, especially kittens, and also has 2 cats to play with. During the holidays she is hoping it will be warm enough to go to the beach and the swimming pool, and on days when the weather is not so good she has her best friend Jing to play with.
Hussain Safdari in Room 6
Hussain loves to play soccer and has played for the school team for the past 2 years. He used to play for a soccer club outside of school and hopes to again in the future. So far he has achieved 40 CARE cards and is well on his way to 60 cards and being able to choose another prize from Mrs Mac's prize box. During the holidays he plans on going to Hanmer Springs and is looking forward to going on the hydroslide. He loves to travel and hopes to get down to Dunedin as well.
