Stars of the Week

Office (Bishopdale School) —

Congratulations to this week's Stars of the Week, who are:

Wynter Tamarapa in Kōwhai

Wynter has been having lots of fun at school this morning. She has been drawing with chalks in the playground as well as blowing huge bubbles. She loves playing in the playground and thinks the sandpit is great. Wynter enjoyed the fun sports yesterday afternoon and is looking forward to the school disco that is coming up. She said the best thing during the day at school is Hui Hui in the hall each morning.

Wyatt Dover in Koromiko

Wyatt has had a little bit of help practising his handwriting skills this morning in class, as well as learning about different shapes. He enjoyed the Top Team Challenge yesterday and said he didn't mind getting wet with the water events. Wyatt is looking forward to the disco and has been practising his dancing skills. When Wyatt grows up he would like to be a Builder.

Maddi Taituha-Ropoama in Koromiko

Maddi has been learning about shapes in class this morning, such as which ones are big, small or have equal sides. She has also been improving her reading and writing skills. Maddi enjoyed the Top Team Challenge yesterday but wasn't keen on the events that involved water. Maddi said she is looking forward to the Beach Trip next week and also the disco that's being held later in the term. When Maddi grows up she would like to be a Police Officer.

McWinstern Potts in Mataī

McWinstern has been learning phonics in class this morning by completing a slightly tricky word puzzle. McWinstern enjoys playing soccer at school and next year when he is in Year 5 he hopes to join the school soccer team. He said he also likes playing games with his younger sister during morning breaks. McWinstern thought the Top Team Challenge yesterday was great and especially liked the water events.

Saira Sareen in Ti Kōuka

Saira has been writing in class this morning and is looking forward to art lessons a little bit later with Mrs Pepperle. Saira said she loves everything about art. She said she had a lot of fun yesterday at the Top Team Challenge and got very wet. She is hoping we don't get the storms they forecast for today as she said she doesn't like lightning. At home her little sister has just turned 9 months and will celebrate her 1st birthday next February.

Devan Nauer in Kahikatea

Devan enjoys playing with his friends at school, as well as learning maths. In maths he is learning division and fractions at the moment. Devan is in Year 6 and next year will be going to Casebrook Intermediate. At Casebrook he is looking forward to trying drama classes and meeting new people.

Ella Whyte in Tōtara

Ella enjoyed the Top Team Challenge yesterday afternoon and showed great leadership skills by looking after the younger children in her group. Ella is going to Casebrook next year where she is looking forward to lessons in Māori, as well as art and food. Ella joined us in Year 3 and was surprised she only has another 5 weeks at Bishopdale.
