Stars of the Week

Office (Bishopdale School) —

Congratulations to this week's Stars of the Week, who are:

Abraham Asefa in Tī-Kōuka

Abraham has only recently joined us at Bishopdale in our New Entrants class, and is already enjoying school.  He said he loves to play with the cars and making a house for them out of the magnetic building blocks, but his favourite thing so far is the big swing in the playground.  If Abraham could be an animal for a day he said he would like to be a giraffe with a big long neck so that he could eat the leaves in the trees, which would be tasty as he would be a giraffe.

Zeinab Rahimi in Mataī

Zeinab loves to read and said she has been reading some really nice books recently.  She is also working hard on learning to write new words.  If Zeinab could be an animal for a day she would like to be a kangaroo so that she could hop really high, and she could also use the pouch at the front to keep all her things in so that they would be nice and safe.

Mia Taituha-Ropoama Kōwhai

Mia has been learning lots of different things at school this week, but loves it when she gets home and can relax and play with her toys.  If Mia could be an animal for a day she would like to be a black and white fluffy kitten so that she could play all day and have lots of cuddles and fall asleep in a nice warm place.

Ryder Meredith in Koromiko

Ryder has been busy learning tricky multiplication sums this week, he said some of them he has done before and they are quite easy, but the bigger numbers are a bit harder.  He is also looking forward to the St Johns first aid lesson today.  If Ryder could be an animal for a day he would like to be a snake so that he could make people jump - he would certainly make me jump!

Jaydashay Hemaloto in Kānuka

This week Jaydashay has been busy with her writing and has been using her imagination to write some great stories.  During the first aid lesson today she is hoping they will have the chance to practice putting bandages on each other.  If Jaydashay could be an animal for the day she would love to be a cute, fluffy puppy, so that she could have lots of cuddles and play with her toys all day.

Mya Haika in Kahikatea

Mya has been working really hard on her spelling and reading this week in class.  She said her favourite  lesson in school is reading.  If Mya could be an animal for the day she would like to be a Black Panther with a very sleek shiny black coat and laze around in the sun all day.

Addison Piner in Tōtara

Addison has been learning about different countries in class this week and has learnt some fun and interesting facts about Samoa and Australia.  She has also been able to make lots of new friends this week as well.  Addison is looking forward to learning first aid as she would like to be a Doctor when she grows up, or an artist.  If Addison could be an animal for a day she would like to be either a wolf or a koi fish.
