Stars of the Week
Congratulations to this week's Stars of the Week, who are:
Kairoa Smith Tahi in Kōwhai
Kairoa started in our New Entrants Class last week and this morning has been busy practising his writing. He really enjoyed morning tea with Mrs Mac and the other Stars this morning and chose a juice box and cookies. Kairoa loves water play on hot days and this morning has been helping to build a marble run.
Angelica Morgan in Koromiko
Angelica has been busy learning how to count to 100 and then backwards from 100 in class this morning. She said she enjoys learning maths, and really likes to learn how to count with play money. Yesterday she carved a beautiful star out of soap. Angelica said she likes horses and her favourite type of horse is a pretty unicorn.
Maddi Taituha-Ropoama in Koromiko
Maddi has also been learning how to count backwards from 100 in class this morning. She said she loves playing with her friends at school and she also likes making new friends. Maddi enjoys learning maths and yesterday also had fun carving a shape in soap.
Leroy Pere-Epiha in Mataī
Leroy loves playing on the playground with his friends at school. He also really enjoys sport and just being active. He said his class has show and tell tomorrow but doesn't think he will bring anything this time. At home he likes to stay active by playing touch and soccer.
TeRangi Haeata-Pairama in Tī Kōuka
TeRangi has lots of energy and recently went to Ninja Valley, where he had a great time climbing, whizzing down the massive slides and climbing on the huge indoor playgrounds. TeRangi said he is really looking forward to morning tea with Mrs Mac.
Jaylah Langdon in Kahikatea
Jaylah likes playing on the spinning go-gos on the playground with her friends. Jaylah will be in Year 6 next year and is really looking forward to going on school camp. Jaylah said she likes learning maths and art with Mrs Pepperle, especially drawing the school playground. She said she also likes reading Chapter books and her favourite Teacher is Mrs Branch.
Octavia MacDonald in Tōtara
Octavia enjoyed playing for our school netball team last week at Hagley and is looking forward to going there again tomorrow. Octavia loved going on camp with the Year 6's. She said she had so much fun joining in the activities, especially archery and said the food was amazing. Octavia enjoys learning maths and writing and finds colouring in very relaxing. She said her favourite Teacher is Mrs Gourlay.
