Congratulations to this week's Stars of the Week, who are:

Ava Coates in Tī-Kōuka

Ava had a very busy morning today.  As well as being Star of the Week and enjoying morning tea with the Principal, in class she has been glueing and colouring in.  Ava can't wait for the Easter Bunny to visit, but she said you have to close your eyes so you don't see him.  Ava also had a lovely fruit jelly for a snack and when I asked her what flavour it was, she said red.

Arjun Gadkari in Kānuka

Arjun enjoyed being Star of the Week and having morning tea in the staffroom with Mrs Mac.  He is looking forward to Easter, but is really looking forward to the school holidays when he can have fun playing games on his TV.  

Lyon Otufangavalu in Koromiko

Lyon likes Easter time a lot and loves to eat lots of tasty Easter Eggs.  During the school holidays he plans on spending time playing games on his TV.  Lyon has brothers and sisters at home, so will have plenty of things to do and fun games to play with them.

Saira Sareen in Kahikatea

Saira has been very lucky to spend some good, quality time with her family over in India this year. She said it was very hot in India, and will now be able to spend some nice relaxing time at home during the holidays to get used to the cooler weather.

Ruby Marsh in Kōwhai

Ruby is looking forward to the school holidays, especially Easter when her family holds an Easter Egg hunt, and she said she usually collects the most eggs.  Sometimes they even have a pinata full of chocolate.  Ruby has a large family and is hoping to spend some time with her cousins during the holidays.

Jackson Patterson in Mataī

Jackson loves Easter and said that one year he got up early and when he walked out of his bedroom he saw his parents standing there with some Easter Eggs.  Jackson plans on having a very relaxing school holiday and said he hopes to spend a lot of time playing on his Playstation.

Sonny Taituha-Ropoama in Tōtara

Sonny has already decided that he would like an Oreo filled chocolate egg for Easter, like he had last year, he said it was really good.  He said that one Easter he found a track of flour bunny footprints around the house! He doesn't have any plans for the school holidays, but said his baby cousin will be staying with them for a while.
