Bluestone's kapahaka group met with success at the Flava Festival, held in the Theatre Royal.

Manawanui under the guidance of Jannette Aldridge and Lee West practised and prepared for many hours leading up to the Flava Festival. All this work paid off as students performed with pride, passion and precision. Those involved displayed many fine qualities including perseverance, positive attitude and pursuit of excellence. The several items performed showed the students' confidence in Te Reo and their confidence to perform in front of a large crowd.

Siohbhan Wisher supported the children in the art competition and combined with Jannette Aldridge to prepare our group  for the performing arts section.

Many Bluestone parents turned up to support our performers and were certainly not disappointed in their wonderful efforts!

1st Place for Creativity, 2nd for Performing Arts, 2nd for Visual Arts and 2nd over all. We all had a great day and performed extremely well in every aspect.
