End of term
At the end of this term teachers will be attending a professional development day so the last day of term for students will be Thursday 11 April.
Our school is part of a cluster of Timaru primary and secondary schools and ECE centres (called a Kahui Ako).
Together we are reflecting on how we can improve the learning and wellbeing of all students in our district. On Friday 12 April the teachers in our Kahui Ako are all meeting together to work with staff from the NZ Institute of Wellbeing & Resilience. The aim is to learn how we can implement strategies and practices demonstrated to improve student engagement, wellbeing, relatedness, autonomy, competence, and school climate.
Followup work is ongoing with teachers using a cycle of inquiry to examine their own practice throughout the year.
Term 2 gets underway on Monday 29 April.
